BWR compensates for dot gain on press β bars are drawn narrower in the file so they come out right on paper. Ask your printer for the recommended value (typical: 10β40 ΞΌm offset, 0 for thermal labels). Applies to PDF/EPS; SVG exports in black and white for screen use.
PDF/EPS are true vector with CMYK and BWR β press-ready. PNG/JPG export in high resolution for screen and office printers.
About UPC-A
UPC-A is the standard code in US and Canadian retail. Technically it is a subset of EAN-13 (an EAN-13 starting with 0), and modern POS systems read both β but some US retailers still require UPC-A on the package.

Do I need both UPC-A and EAN-13?
Usually not β an EAN-13 scans in the US and a UPC-A scans in Europe. But if you sell primarily in North America, the trade expects the UPC-A format on the package.
How do I convert UPC-A to EAN-13?
Add a leading zero: UPC-A 012345678905 is the same GTIN as EAN-13 0012345678905.
