Is Inkbeep really free?
Yes — every tool on the site is free, with no account and no watermarks. The open API is free within its rate limits.
Can I make up my own EAN/UPC number?
Not for retail. Valid GTINs are licensed from GS1; made-up numbers cause collisions at checkouts and get listings rejected on marketplaces. For purely internal use, Code 128 with your own numbering is the better choice.
Which file format should I choose?
PNG for screens, documents and office printers. SVG for websites. PDF when a print shop or designer asks for vector artwork — ours include CMYK colors and Bar Width Reduction.
Will my code actually scan?
